Atlanta Dirty Awards . . . What’s The Problem?

November 28th, 2008 / Filed Under: Uncategorized / No Comments

The recent Radio One Dirty Awards didn’t deserve to have
the behavior from grown men cut short this event. Not
trying to prove who’s wrong or right but the fact that the
ATL Hip Hop community can’t get together for an Awards
ceremony is pretty pathetic. The sadder part is that
this beef is going to continue to escalate setting another
terrible example for our youth who clearly need different
directions in handling trivial conflict.

Wonder why these two tribes can’t get together and
build an economic model refurbing communities that
they claim to represent? Both tribes claim their
undying love for their Bankhead community. How
many houses do they own in Bankhead? How many
people are they putting to work in Bankhead? How
many after school youth programs are they funding?

Can you imagine Kool & The Gang having beef with
the Ohio Players to the point that it disrupted an
      music awards ceremony?

On the other hand, maybe this is what Radio One
deserves. They can be held somewhat responsibile
since they help fan these idiotic flames and spew this
craziness with reckless abandon. Their limited music
        playlist and airhead programming/management have
much to do with this as anything else. What are your
        thoughts?
